The Language Learning Center is rich resource for students, faculty and the community. Our staff offers training and consultation on existing equipment and software as well as on emerging technologies.
The LLC consists of six computer labs, one of which is dedicated to the Signed Language Interpreter program. Each lab is equipped with Mac computers: Lab 1 has laptops (MacBooks), the others are desktops (iMacs). Each lab also is connected to printers, a projector, a CD player, and a DVD/VHS player.
The LLC has a production suite for creating, transferring, copying, and editing various media. Please contact Leslie Sandoval if you would like to reserve a time to use the production suite.
Our facilities are available for language groups, language and cultural events, lectures and presentations. Please contact Pam Castaldi if you are interested in using the LLC for this purpose.
The LLC also provides various types of audio/visual equipment for checkout to faculty and TAs: digital video cameras, tripods, and audio recording equipment. We encourage faculty to reserve our equipment for classes.
We have movies, and audio recordings available for checkout to faculty and to reserve for students. Language software is installed on lab computers. And, just for fun (and learning), we have video games and board games to play on-site.
