Overview

The purpose of the Advisory Council is to create a forum for discussion for stakeholders of the Language Learning Center (LLC). These stakeholders include faculty, TAs, students, and other representatives of language and cultural learning from various departments at UNM. Members of the Council are representative of each stakeholder group.

The Advisory Council meets on a monthly basis or as necessary, as determined by the Council.

Purpose

To generate feedback on current LLC practices, activities, equipment and space
To generate ideas for the future direction of the LLC
To discuss ways to integrate LLC resources into language curricula
To promote interdepartmental collaborations throughout the University
To promote cultural immersion
To discover new technologies for language learning
To act as a vehicle for educating and marketing LLC's resources and services to other stakeholders
To create a basic plan for change
